Preps: giving you the tools that will help you to be more active and eat a more nutritious diet
Reps: providing you with a home-based witht training program with free weights and instructions
Increased Steps: teaching you how to use a pedometer (a small tool which counts the steps you take). This is an easy way to increase your every day activity by walking more
Encouragement: involving you in monthly training sessions with PRISE staff to help you wtay on track with your physical activity goals
Science has shown that women who don’t get enough physical activity are at a higher risk for certain diseases like diabetes and heart disease. We all know that activity is important and that it will help you to stay healthier and feel better. The PRISE program can help you find the time to be more active.
PRISE is a research study. This research will help us to see if women in the PRISE program become more physically fit and adapt better dietary habits.
